This handcrafted wall hanger features a real raccoon skull mounted over an engraved depiction of Jormungandr, the Midgard Serpent of Norse mythology.
In Norse mythology, Jormungandr is the great serpent that encircles Midgard and holds its own tail. Born of Loki and the giantess Angrboda, Jormungandr is a powerful figure associated with the boundaries of the world and the inevitable events of Ragnarok. The serpent's interwoven body forms an intricate knotwork design surrounding the skull.
The wooden plaque is made from pine with a darkened finish that reveals the natural wood grain. The raccoon skull is mounted at the center of the engraving to create a striking piece of Norse pagan wall decor.
