This freestanding altar is devoted to Freya, with a removable pig skull resting within a carved wooden frame. The surface is engraved with a repeating bindrune created from Fehu, Raidho, Ehwaz, Jera, and Ansuz, spelling the name Freya and invoking her presence through movement, fertility, journey, growth, and inspired voice. Surrounding the bindrune is a full ring of the twenty-four Elder Futhark runes, calling on the depth of the old language to charge and anchor the piece. Beneath the skull is a depiction of Freya herself, reinforcing the altar’s role as a space for devotion, offering, and connection.
