This real cow skull features a hand painted red depiction of Jormungandr, the World Serpent of Norse mythology, encircling Elder Futhark runes. The serpent forms a ring around the runes, representing Jormungandr's immense form as he surrounds Midgard.
Jormungandr is one of Loki's children and the great serpent that dwells in the ocean surrounding Midgard. He is closely connected to the cycles of life, destruction and renewal. During Ragnarök, Jormungandr rises from the sea to face Thor in their final battle.
Use this skull as a focal point for rituals involving transformation, personal strength and embracing the cycles of life. It can be displayed on a Norse pagan altar or incorporated into rituals honoring Jormungandr and the powerful forces of Norse mythology.
