This one of a kind wall hanger features a real elk jawbone mounted on a dark stained cedar wood backing. The cedar is engraved with bindrunes designed to invoke the Norse goddess Freya during ritual. Ornate metal corner accents frame the piece and complement the natural bone.
Freya is a Norse goddess associated with love, fertility, beauty, wealth, and seidr magic. She is also connected to war and the slain, receiving half of those who fall in battle within her realm of Fólkvangr. As a goddess closely associated with magic and spiritual power, Freya is honored in modern Norse pagan practices through offerings, invocation, and devotional rituals.
The engraved bindrunes combine runic symbolism associated with Freya and her divine attributes. Each bindrune serves as a focal point for invoking her presence and establishing a connection with the goddess during ritual. This wall hanger can be displayed above an altar or within a dedicated devotional space honoring Freya.
