Ansuz is associated with communication, wisdom, inspiration, and divine connection. The rune is also closely associated with Odin, making it fitting for a stave intended to open and strengthen communication with the gods.
The use of nine within the stave is intentional. Nine holds recurring significance throughout Norse mythology. Odin hung from Yggdrasil for nine nights before gaining knowledge of the runes.
