This pendant is inspired by a historic Finnish sword crafted in the distinctive Urnes style of the late Viking Age (circa 1000–1100 AD). The original sword, discovered in an 11th-century woman’s grave in Suontaka, Finland, featured intricate animal motifs that reflected the refined, interlaced aesthetic of the period. This pendant carries that same visual language forward, echoing the filigree designs that once adorned the hilt of a warrior woman’s grave goods.
