This altar is built as a devotional structure honoring the Norse goddess Freya. The top panel is engraved with a detailed depiction of Freya seated in her chariot, accompanied by her sacred animals, with the phrase HAIL THE OLD GODS written phonetically in the Elder Futhark runes along the sides. The imagery ties directly to her role as a Vanir goddess of magic, sovereignty, and fierce protection.

Inside the altar rests an ethically sourced pig skull, a meaningful inclusion since Freya is associated with the boar Hildisvíni in the myths. The interior back wall is lined with cow rib bones, creating a shrine like chamber that amplifies the sense of presence and reverence.

The base of the altar features a bindrune created from Fehu, Raidho, Ehwaz, Jera, and Ansuz. This bindrune is to be used to invoke the norse goddess. Encircling the bindrune is a full ring of the 24 Elder Futhark runes, grounding the piece in the oldest known runic tradition and framing the bindrune as the heart of the working.
