This mausoleum-style altar is engraved with multiple layers of Norse protection. The top panel features the Helm of Awe, the carved shield stave known for warding off harm and strengthening the spirit and the Nine Helms from the Huld manuscript, another powerful protective working rooted in Icelandic magical tradition. Along the edges are bindrunes created for home protection, combining boundary, guardianship, and strength. Completing the piece is are the Elder Futhark runes, calling on the depth and voice of the old rune row to anchor the altar’s purpose.

A pig skull rests within the structure and can be lifted out for separate ritual work or display. Known for their ties to Freya, sacrifice, abundance, and the land itself, pig skulls bring a grounding presence to the altar. The spindle wrapped columns and dark wood grain give the piece the feel of a small shrine or vault, suited for offerings, candles, runes, and ancestral or household work.
