This set of candle sconces are engraved with beautiful Veldismagn stave.

Veldismagn is an ancient Icelandic magical sigil meaning 'to give power and strength' ('veldi': power; 'magna': to strengthen). Traditionally drawn out in blood on the chest, it was used for protection, luck, health, and the safe return from travels, so that "Nothing evil will harm you, and whole and healthy will you come back home, whether travelling by land or sea".

Love these!!

I adore these pieces. I really wanted a Veldismagn stave for our home - your candle sconces were exactly what I had envisioned! They're well crafted and fit perfectly in with other pieces and furniture we have in the library. Heavily considering purchasing a lot more from this lovely shop!
